Nokia 603 Review

The Nokia 603 is supposed to be the workhorse of the new Symbian Belle portfolio, balancing the value-for-money virtue in the low mid-range spectrum. Thus it is pretty average in terms of specs – 3.5” display, 1GHz processor and 5MP camera with 720p video recording but no LED flash.

It shares the “brightest mobile display” of the Nokia 701, however, and has an abundance of swappable back covers in various colors for the joy of the teen market, but does it deserve its price point, and is it distinctive enough apart from those different shell paints? Design:

The Nokia 603 comes chubby at 0.5” (12.7mm), so it's not going to win any design awards that seem to be all about waistline these days, but its tapered edges and sloping corners make it pretty ergonomic and easy to hold. Operating the phone with one hand is also easy, and all buttons around the sides are protruding enough for a decent feel, plus their travel is decent.

The 3.5” IPS-LCD display boasts 360x640 pixels of resolution, and 210ppi pixel density, which only came detrimental when we were trying to read very small text. Viewing angles are wide, and brightness is very high thanks to the 1000 nits output, plus the ClearBlack tech minimizes reflections. The higher than average brightness and low reflection make for an excellent outside visibility on the Nokia 603.,

The handset comes in black and white, with a number of swappable back covers in different colors, and one is included in the box for free. There is no front-facing camera, just a 5MP fixed-focus shooter without an LED flash.

Nokia 803 Spotted In User Guide..,Nokia N8 Sucessor..??

Nokia N8′s successor is coming next year we all knew but how will it look and will it be able to beat Nokia N8′s super-duper camera or not? Well,we do not know about that,but we know one thing the phone present in this pic is the possible N8 successor.What I can see here is that it is the combination of Nokia N8+Nokia 701,on the front there are three hardware buttons which looks like Nokia 701 and on the back the camera hump looks like N8′s back.Rumors are kicking that this device has a 3.5-inch WVGA ClearBlack display with Gorilla Glass,on the back there is a 12 Megapixel camera. Nokia 803 is a 3G device and has connectivity features like Bluetooth,Wi-Fi,USB port and a 3.5mm AV jack.It will be a Symbian^ 3 device but it will be interesting to see whether it will run on Symbian Belle or Symbian Carla.It packs a 1GHz single-core processor and this device can be launched at MWC,2012.

Nokia N8 and Nokia 701 both are Symbian^3 device which are currently  running on Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle but Nokia N8 will soon get the Symbian Belle update.Anyway,today we are comparing both Nokia N8  and Nokia 701 and at the end of this post  you will come to know that which on is better.So,let’s start another war

Nokia N8 and Nokia 701 are both having a different kind of design.Nokia N8 and Nokia 701 both have a 3.5″ TFT capacitive touchscreen with Amoled display.Nokia 701 and Nokia N8 are available in different colors son you can choose any color.Nokia 701 is made up of both plastic and metal material and Nokia N8 is made up of Metal material only.Nokia 701 is heavier than Nokia N8 and Nokia N8 feels very solid in the hand.On the front of the Nokia N8 there is only one physical button but on Nokia 701 there are three physical buttons.So,that was all about the design.Now,we will talk about the operating system of these devices.Nokia N8 is currently running on Symbian Anna OS and on the other hand Nokia 701 is running on Symbian Belle OS and is quite better than Symbian Anna but still Nokia N8 is upgradable to Symbian Belle,so,there’s no loss.We are ending this segment right here and we declare Nokia N8 as the winner of this segment.

Nokia is known for making phones having good cameras.Nokia N8 has a 12 Megapixel camera on the back with Xenon flash and on the other hand Nokia 701 has a 8 Megapixel camera present on the back with dual-LED flash.Nokia N8 and Nokia 701,both can shoot good quality HD videos at 720p mode at 30fps.Yes,Nokia N8 can also shoot 720p HD videos at 30fps with the help of CameraPro application.Anyway,Nokia 701 has a Fixed Focus camera and we have completely tested the Nokia 701 and if you want to take a micro image you can’t because it can’t focus.Now,we will talk about the Multimedia features.Nokia 701 and Nokia 701 both are multimedia powerhouse which can play good quality videos of many types.Nokia 701 and Nokia both has good speakers and the speaker of Nokia 701 is better than Nokia N8.We are ending this segment right here and declare Nokia N8 as the winner because in our days to day life speaker quality doesn’t matter.

Now we will talk about the processors,Nokia N8 has a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor processor and on the other hand Nokia 701 has a 1GHz processor.Nokia 701 is quite fast and works faster than Nokia N8 so a thumbs up to the Nokia 701 for that.Nokia 701 do not hang even opening 10-11 applications but Nokia N8-00 sometimes do hang.Games,mainly HD Games which require good processors work very well on Nokia 701 but not on Nokia N8.Now,we will talk about the connectivity features.Nokia N8 and Nokia 701 both are 3G devices and have connectivity features like Bluetooth,Wi-Fi,USB port and  a 3.5mm AV jack.Nokia 701 has a additional connectivity feature which is NFC and helps consumers to easily pay.We are closing this segment here and the winner is in front of us,Nokia 701.

Nokia 701 was launched a way back and this device is shipping all over the world.We have recently got this device and we are now reviewing it.Actually,there is a problem guys and some you may now.Yesterday,we have written this review and there occured some problems with our website and we have lost many stuffs and article and hence a few images but we have managed to get two images of Nokia 701 but they are a bit small hope you will understand our problem.

Nokia 701 is a solid device it is made up with the coordination of plastic and metal.This device has a solid unibody construction and feels really nice in the hand.Nokia 701 is 117.2 x 56.8 x 11 mm in dimension and weighs nearly about 130 grams.On placing this device on device on hands it do not feel so heavy.Nokia 701 has a 3.5inch TFT MultiTouch capacitive screen Nokia is using the ClearBlack display below Gorilla Glass which is 360 x 640 pixels in resolution and nearly has 210 ppi pixel density.On the top front there is a ear piece,proximity sensor and camera.Underneath the screen there are three push buttons which are call,menu and switch on/off or end call button respectively,all these buttons are push buttons.Overall,the build quality of this devie is very good and design also looks good.

Nokia 701 is one of the first devices to run on Symbian Belle,we are regular user of Symbian Anna and after playing a little with Symbian Belle we felt Oh! Boy Symbian Belle is a really great operating system and every one is going to be crazy after it.Symbian Belle brings a whole new of feature like six homescreens,NFC support.customizable live widget,an android like rolling taskbar and much more.This is a really good operating system and gives a tough competition to both iOS and Android operating system.Nokia 701 is a 3G devie and has connectivity features like Bluetooth,Wi-Fi,USB port and a 3.5mm AV jack as well.We have checked all the connectivity features and found it very good and responsive.

Nokia 701 has both front and rear facing camera.On the front of the device there is a VGA camera which is capable of video calling.On the back there is an eight Megapixel camera which can shoot 720p HD videos at 30fps but it has a fixed focus mode only and not auto focus and hence is a bad thing about this eight megapixel camera.It has dual LED flash also present on the back which is very powerful.Nokia 701′s rear camera can shoot good videos and capturing good images. Nokia 701 is a multimedia beast and you can play a lot of videos also the HD ones.The speaker quality of the phone is good and it’s a pleasure to hear the music from this phone.

Nokia 701 packs a 1 GHz processor, 2D/3D graphics HW accelerator with OpenVG1.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0,all these good stuffs.The thing that we liked about it is the screen response.We have checked many devices but till now it has one of the best touch response.It’s screen works very fine and smoothly.It is very responsive and very sensitive which is quite good for the consumers.Nokia 701 is recently launched in India and can be purchased by paying 16,000 INR.In this price range it is a really good smartphone to buy.It has a good battery life as well.We again apologies for these bad images but still we have used it and sharing our experience with you guys.Hope you understand,so there you go guys that was the complete review of Nokia 701,saty tuned for more reviews and techupdates!
